Petting Zoo

Tommy and I headed down to the Open Space for the Cherry Festival children's petting zoo.  They had goats, llamas and even a kangaroo.  Tommy got up close to the goats but was hesitant to touch them. 

We ended up running into a friend of mine and her son Tommy.  Her Tommy is one year older than mine (they are both Feb babies).   They had more fun playing together than interacting with the animals. 



We stopped at the baby tent for a quick diaper change.  SO thankful that they have this place!!

 Because it was so hot, we decided to head out and try to find out where they were giving rides on thre firetruck.  Unfortunately they were done with rides so we ended up getting an elephant ear and hanging out in one of the air conditioned tents. 

Mom's favorite festival treat!  We had to stop and get one.  Don't worry...we shared! :)

Ready to head home for a snooze!

Although it wasn't our original plan, we ended up having a really great day.  We even ran into another friend of mine and her daughter, Tommy's girlfriend. :)  I think he'll have more fun when we go to the fair in August.  It will be cooler since they are in the shade and it will be less crowded...hopefully!
